1. National Space Society (NSS) members who choose to participate on INSIDE.NSS.ORG must comply with these Terms of Use. NSS reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use at any time, for any reason, with or without prior notice, and will do so by posting a new version online. Your continued use of this website will be subject to the terms of the then-current Terms of Use. We encourage you to periodically review this page for the latest information on our Terms of Use for INSIDE.NSS.ORG.

2. NSS reserves the right, without notice, (i) to restrict or suspend the account of any user who in NSS’s sole discretion violates these Terms of Use, and (ii) to block, remove, or edit content deemed inappropriate in NSS’s sole discretion.

3. Participation in INSIDE.NSS.ORG is a benefit of NSS membership. If an account in INSIDE.NSS.ORG is restricted or suspended due to non-compliance with these Terms of Use, such action shall not, by itself, affect other aspects of the user’s NSS membership.

4. Member sign-in usernames may not represent profanity, hate speech, racial slurs, or other derogatory terms.

5. A participant may post and otherwise use the INSIDE.NSS.ORG website only under his or her actual name. Participation by an individual via the purchase of multiple NSS memberships using variations on an actual name or using false names is prohibited.

6. This site is intended for civil discourse. NSS reserves the right to restrict or suspend accounts in NSS’s sole discretion without notice for engaging in uncivil discourse, including but not limited to:  name calling, threats or abuse, personal attacks, vulgarity, harassment, or defamation. Members are expected to behave in a professional and respectful way toward other members while using the website.

7. This site is intended for space-related topics and discussion. NSS reserves the right in its sole discretion without notice to restrict or suspend accounts for engaging in off-topic discussion, particularly including but not limited to:  political discussions (not related to space), promotion of pseudoscience, or religious proselytizing.

8. Promotion of or campaigning for or against any candidate for an NSS election is not allowed on any NSS website, including this one.

9. Members may not post any form of advertisement for commercial products, or solicit on behalf of a business, or post notice of items for sale or lease. Promoting non-National Space Society products and services is prohibited unless the specific promotion has been pre-approved by the National Space Society, but the announcement of conferences and events is permissible as long as those conferences and events are space-related.

10. The posting of non-NSS job openings and business recruiting is not allowed at this time.

11. Use of the site constitutes granting to NSS the non-exclusive right to reproduce in any medium at any time any post or comment made on this site.

12. NSS assumes no liability for the accuracy of any information posted by members on this website. Member content is used at your own risk.

13. Although all postings may be read by site administrators, NSS does not routinely monitor in real-time for inappropriate member postings, comments, or file uploads. Participants are therefore requested to report possible violations of these Terms of Use via the Report Abuse form, which is accessible via the Quick Links menu by members who are signed in to INSIDE.NSS.ORG.

14. For problems other than reporting abuse of these Terms of Use, or for questions for NSS, use the NSS Contact Form . Reports of harassment must not be made or discussed here but should be reported on the Harassment Report Form .
